PRO-CHOICES MOMS!

In an interview with Barbara Walters, Sarah Palin admitted that she hesitated for a moment when she found out that she was pregnant with a Down’s Syndrome baby after she had thought that she had dispensed with child bearing and had taken on the governorship of Alaska.  Ironically, however, it is that moment of hesitation and the consideration of options that it represents that Palin and other anti-choice politicians and activists would like to eliminate. 

Clearly, Palin does not think of herself as an evil monster thirsting for the blood of unborn infants – the portrait that the anti-choice movement consistently paints of advocates of choice.  She made a choice to have her child, as did her unwed teenage daughter immediately after her.  However, it still was a choice for them because, thankfully, other options are still legally available.

Here are some portraits of Pro-Choice Moms: women who demonstrate through the choices that they have made the wide range of possible responses to a pregnancy that a nation with Choice offers its citizens.
