Our Mission
The Illinois Choice Action Team's purpose is to carry out the mission of NARAL Pro-Choice America, but with the main focus within the state of Illinois. This mission is to develop and sustain a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.
About UsThe Illinois Choice Action Team is a committed group of volunteers advancing NARAL Pro-Choice America's Mission. We are based in Chicago, Illinois, but we work with activists all over the state. Our ultimate goal is to use the political process to ensure reproductive rights for all women in Illinois. To meet this goal, we engage in many activities, including: working for pro-choice candidates during election cycles, educating groups and the public about reproductive rights issues, monitoring state legislation related to reproductive rights, boosting our visibility in the community via canvassing and tabling at events, working with like-minded organizations, and staging protests (or counter-protests).
